The memories are all in my mind

Yesterday I shared a double layout from the baby book I am making (you can see it here) and today I have a single layout.

This one is the last page (I’m not your conventional scrapbooker so have been doing the pages out of order) and I’ve done it in papers and embellies to match the inside back cover (see it at this post).

The current song theme at A Song In Your He{ART}  is Three Times a Lady, now if the lyrics to that song don’t just inspire a lovely layout for a special little lady I don’t know what will.  Listen to the song, it’s lovely and about the memories inspired by a very loved lady.  So while it may have been written for a lover it could just as easily describe the love between a parent and a special daughter.  I picked out my journal cards with words inspired by those in the song, they come from a Authentique Classique Pretty’s Life Cards and are just perfect for a layout looking back on the first precious year of a baby girl’s life.

I made up my layout following the current sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2, I think their sketches are more geared toward cards but I think it worked for this.  I just resized it to be a rectangle rather than a square and swapped out the button element for some flowers to match the back cover.  I also swapped out the three gems for a swirl of them, again to match the back.

With all the pink and flowers and girl journaling there’s no mistaking that this is a book for a baby girl so I’m also entering it at Fussy and Fancy’s current challenge.
