Waiting in anticipation

I’ve got another single layout from the baby book I am making to share today, this one is the first page.

I’ve kept the papers and the embellies the same as the inside cover as they open up to a double page.  This page is for pictures before baby arrives and I’ve added interest with my Foto Folder, which is where the photos go.

With all the lovely dots (don’t pink dots just say little girl so perfectly?) I am entering this page in the current challenge over at SimonSays Stamp Wednesday challenge.  I’ve got loads of layers on this as well as insde the folder so I am also entering my layout at Deep Ocean’s current challenge.

For the inside I’ve followed the current sketch over at Retrosketches.  Their sketches are more geared toward cards but I thought it suited the space I had and the sort of layout I wanted to do.  I just swapped out the circle for a larger oval as I wanted space for a full length photo of the mother-to-be with her belly.  Not sure an ultrasound photo will fit in a vertical oval, might need to turn the book to see that photo properly but that is what I am envisaging on the right-hand side.

Stayed tuned for more pages in this baby book, four more to be precise.  If you’re interested you can see the cover here (took me ages as this is a Tim Holtz Collection Folio so there’s lots of space to decorate!), the last page at this post, and a double layout here.
