Nibble, nibble, gnaw who is nibbling at my little house?

This is my last Halloween card for this year and it features the fun new image, Elisabete Spider Witch, part of the fab Halloween Gals collection from Simply B Stamps.

To make up my card I’ve followed the current sketch over at Cheerful Sketches, I just swapped out the circle element for some cobwebs and made the left rectangle a bit larger to accommodate my image.  I managed to raid my scrap drawer for all of the papers on this card too and stuck to traditional Halloween colours.

Being a Halloween card, the best holiday in the year, I am also entering this in the current challenge at Die Cut Diva’s.  I cut my cobweb die twice to create my circle element so I’ve got their die cut element covered.  Given my image is of a witch I think this card definitely qualifies for a fantasy theme so I am also linking it up at C.R.A.F.T. for their current challenge.

Lovely weather for flying last night

I’m back from my big adventure and starting crafting again with Day 7 of the 13 Days of Halloween over at SBS and I’ve got the super cute Broomstick Betty from the Teen Scene Trick or Treat Teens on my card.

To make up my card I followed the current sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The layers let me do my favourite double matting so I’ve used lots of black cardstock, also used it for my base and for the cute spider web die cut.  With all that black cardstock I’m also entering my card over at the current challenge at Creative Card Crew.

Die Cuttin’ Diva’s are running a colour challenge at the moment using purple, orange plus one other colour, so I went with green, the perfect colours for Halloween.  I’ve used them on my image and on the designer papers and embellies.  I’ve had the brooms in my stash for a couple of years, glad I finally remembered to put them on a witch card.

I think she turned out super cute, don’t you?

To join in all the fun of the 13 Days of Halloween go check out the SBS blog, there’s lots of fun prizes to be won.

Just a spoonful of sugar…

This is my second card featuring the awesome new Betty Boo image from Simply B Stamps, this one is teamed with the word art ‘if the broom fits’ as drawn by Betty’s son Christian.

To make up my card I’ve followed the sketch over at Bastel-traum and luckily this one had an oval element that I could print Betty Boo and directly on to with no fussy cutting.  The image comes with the word art perfectly placed as you see here.

Now a witch can’t be without her potion ingredients and these are, as everyone knows, highly toxic so there has to be a warning label or two featuring a skull and crossbones, hence my little charm.  It also works in with the skull on her cauldron.  I found the bone trim in my stash so added that for some interest also.

Over at Creative Fingers theyre framing things and my image is nicely framed in my oval Nestie, it also fits an anything goes, which their challenges always are, so I am entering my card over there.

I’ve got a third card featuring this fun image coming up in a few minutes and you can see the first one I made at this post.  You can also see the entire set of images and word art you get with Betty Boo over at the SBS blog and what the fab DT gals have done with it and the awesome Zombie Bride image also releasing today by following the links at the bottom of this post.

That will be quite enough of that, thank you

There’s a fun new release over at Simply B Stamps featuring an awesome witchy image drawn by Betty and some cool word art sentiments drawn by her son, Christian, my first card features the sentiment ‘Fly with me’ and the new Betty Boo image.

To make up my card I’ve followed the sketch over Feeling Sketchy, now I stuck to the sizes on the original sketch of the rectangular elements mainly because they were the size of my Nesties.  But, oh boy, do I wish I’d swapped them out for something bigger.  Colouring the image and word art when they were that small (I sized the image to 2” tall) was really hard and fussy cutting a nightmare.  I had to cut off all the lovely curly bits on Betty’s umbrella and couldn’t face fussy cutting the word art individually so just cut around it all.

The current theme at Cut It Up is twilight and I had just the perfect paper to make a twilight scene.  I added some twinkly star like embellies to add to the twilight theme as well as some die cut bats to go flying across the sky.  With my bats I’ve got things with wings so I am also entering this over at Crafty Creations.

Now the SBS DT have been having fun with this image as well as another awesome one Zombie Bride Betty and you can check out all the awesomeness over at the SBS blog or head over to the DT blogs listed below.  Come back in a few minutes to see what else I have done with Betty Boo and the other word art that comes in this fun bundle.
