Only you can cool my desire

It’s Wednesday so that means a new sketch at Outlawz and my card features the fabulous Lucy Loo Fire Dance from our awesome sponsor The East Wind.

And here’s this week’s sketch.

I’ve flipped the sketch on its side and used a slightly different shape for my main element, mostly because the Nestie I had in a closer shape was the wrong size for the image I already had coloured up.  I also added in an element to be able to add my sentiment, which is computer generated in a suitably flaming font.

I wanted to go with a real fiery theme on this card and the papers from CTMH I used were just perfect for that.  I needed to break up the yellow, red and orange a bit so I went with some brown, it has a subtle criss-cross pattern that is actually in yellow and orange.  The papers are from an old Halloween collection but fit with my fiery theme.  I’ve also had the ribbon for a while, it’s also from CTMH and worked well for the banner elements.  With my CTMH items and my fiery theme I am entering this in the current challenge at Heart 2 Heart.

I didn’t have any brads or buttons or charms to suit a fiery theme and when I found the cute heart charms (in the right colour) in my stash I got the idea for the sentiment.  Now the water tap charm doesn’t really make sense until you see the inside of the card where the sentiment continues.

As I have both charms and ribbon on my card I am entering this over at Charisma Cardz.  I’m also entering it at Fussy and Fancy as the sentiment really makes this card special.

Hopefully I’ve inspired you to come play along over at the Outlawz sketch challenge, we’d sure love to see what you create with this week’s sketch.

Baby love, my baby love

This is the final layout from my baby book  and it features the super cute Baby Mess London from the Baby Teen Scene collection at Simply B Stamps and her adorable kitty Lynx.

This page is all about baby’s food and drink firsts and no doubt the little girl who’s book this will be will end up looking a lot like London at some stage with food all over herself and everywhere else.  With food in the image and my food related embellies, not to mention the food theme to the page, I am entering this layout in the current A Creative Romance challenge.

To make up the layout I followed the current sketch at Friday Sketch, I just flipped it for the other page and left off the large oval element to allow for the journaling.  My oval is a lovely Nestie, I love how large the grand ones are and the one I have used provides for a good sized photo of baby.  As I have a die cut I am also entering this in the current challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters.

As this is my last layout, heres a recap of the entire baby book.
